| Digging?
Before you begin any kind of construction
project, please take the time to call 1-800-424-5555
to schedule locates of all underground utility pipes
and wires. It's worth the extra effort! Calling at least
two working days before beginning any excavation prevents
damage to underground facilities, service interruptions,
and bodily injury.
The Utility Notification Center is open 24 hours a day,
every day, and accepts calls from contractors, homeowners,
or anyone planning to dig in Oregon, Washington and
Montana. Calling before you dig ensures that any publicly
owned underground facilities will be marked according
to the American Public Works Association color code
so that you can dig safely. This service is provided
free of charge. For more information, please visit www.callbeforeyoudig.org
Keep Our Crews Safe
Just a friendly reminder to help
us keep our crews safe while working on electrical equipment.
Washington Administrative Code 296-45-48515 requires
that sufficient access and working space be provided
and maintained around electrical equipment to permit
ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment.
Landscaping items such as plants, rocks, wood, fencing,
dirt, or other materials on, near, or against electrical
equipment is not allowed. High voltage electrical equipment
such as ground level transformers, switch cabinets,
underground vault lids, and utility poles must be kept
free of obstructions for the safety of our crews.
